Job Description

(login to see company) (STARS) is currently seeking a full time (40 hours per week) Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist. STARS is a comprehensive therapy provider with sites throughout the Treasure Valley. With STARS you'll find everything you need to make the most of your career.

You will have the opportunity to provide Speech Language Pathology evaluation and treatment to children ages 3 and up in an outpatient and a therapeutic pre-school setting. For children who need comprehensive rehabilitation treatment, STARS offers a full program of pediatric rehabilitation services. The program uses advanced medical developmental, educational, and recreational services under the direction of physical, occupational, and speech/language therapists. STARS’ therapy services incorporate neuro-developmental treatment techniques, early childhood philosophies, and sensory processing principles. Pediatric rehabilitation is used for children with Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Autism, Neurological Disorders, Genetic Syndromes, Orthopedic Needs, communication, feeding and swallowing disorders. This is an opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team which includes Speech Language Pathologists and Physical Therapists. Skills, knowledge, education and experience:

1. Must hold current ASHA certification/ membership and Idaho license.
2. Two years experience working with swallowing disorders preferred.
3. Experience in organizing work and maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
4. Exhibits good interpersonal relationships.
5. Ability to create and work in a cooperative teamwork environment.
6. Demonstrates awareness of community resources.
