Our client is a large health care system including hospitals, outpatient centers, rehabilitation centers, and home care that has a need for a full-time Physical Therapist in the Hampton, Virginia area. The position is in a Home Care opportunity and a direct hire position.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Our client’s division, Home Care Services, is currently recruiting Physical Therapists. Reports to the team coordinator. Assumes responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients and accurately provides Physical Therapy (PT) evaluations; develops and implements PT treatment plans; provides education and information to patients and caregivers; participates in required discharge planning and completes all required documentation according to policy. The PT supervises and assumes responsibility for are provided by Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants.

QUALIFICATIONS: May be assigned other duties such as clinical instructor for student affiliations, performance improvement, and program development. Therapists must have a Bachelor or Master Degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association accredited program. Must have a current license as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia or be licensure eligible. Other requirements include-BLS completion within 3 months of hire. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to operate and apply therapeutic equipment; ability to lift/push/pull light to heavy equipment, supplies, and patients; creativity and problem solving skills.

SALARY: $65,208 DOE. Salary scale is a national projection, so it may vary depending on geographic location. Specific information will be provided upon preliminary screening with our client.
