Job Description

Physical Therapist wanted for a full time position for a Retirment Community in Maryland.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Performs an initial evaluation to assess the patient’s level of function.
2. Evaluates and develops a physical therapy patient care plan assigned by the physician.
3. Observes, records, and reports to the physician, nursing and rehabilitation team and other elated staff, as appropriate, the patient’s reaction to treatment and any changes in the patient’s condition.
4. Prepares and maintains accurate and timely patient documentation.
5. Attends departmental staff meetings, patient care conferences, staff-in-services, and UR meetings as scheduled.
6. Demonstrates respect for, adherence to and promotion of the mission and philosophy of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Must be able to determine appropriate P.T., P.O.C. & D/C and make adjustments as necessary. Must be able to accurately complete billing and timesheets. BS degree in Physical Therapy and graduation from an accredited physical therapy program. Experience in geriatric care is preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to document clearly to meet reimbursement requirements.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Physical Therapy license from the State.
