Swedish Medical Center, the largest nonprofit healthcare provider in the Greater Seattle area, has an exciting opportunity at its First Hill Campus location for Occupational Therapists.

Experience hands-on responsibility for delivering and supervising others in the delivery of services by performing evaluations and developing individual treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes, actively participating in discharge planning, implementing the treatment program and reassessing treatment results. Services are delivered within the framework of a team approach, including all disciplines, significant others and the patient.

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program of occupational therapy with a valid Washington State Occupational Therapy license.

Your skill set should include the ability to cope with continual interruptions and display a large degree of tact when dealing with physicians, patients, employees, visitors and the community. Experience in interpreting the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements reflective to specific needs and provide the care needed, is key to your success. Must demonstrate the ability to retain learned information, while cooperating and functioning as part of a team. A proven track record of operating all equipment in the Occupational Therapy Department, applying indications according to patient age, diagnosis and standard operating procedures, is necessary.

Experience in collecting and assessing data of the patient’s status, as well as interpreting the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements reflective to specific needs and provide the care needed, is key to your success. Must have strong organizational skills, ability to accept change as beneficial to the organization, department and patients.
