Our Client is a large health care system including hospitals, outpatient centers, rehabilitation centers, and home care that has a need for a full-time Occupational Therapist in the Richmond, Virginia area. The position is in a Home Care opportunity and a direct hire position.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Our client’s division, Home Care Services, is currently seeking Occupational Therapists. Assumes responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients and accurately provides Occupational Therapy (OT) evaluations, develops and implements OT treatment plans; provides education and information to patients and caregivers; participates in required discharge planning and completes all required documentation according to policy. The OT supervises and assumes responsibility for care provided by Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants. Therapists may be assigned other duties such as clinical instructor for student affiliations, performance improvement, and program development.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a graduate of an approved program for Occupational Therapists. One-year experience is preferred. Must have current licensure as an OT in the state of Virginia or be licensure eligible. Other requirements include BLS completion within 3 months of hire. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to operate and apply therapeutic equipment; ability to lift/push/pull light to heavy equipment, supplies, and patients; creativity and problem solving skills.

SALARY: $65,707 DOE. Salary scale is a national projection, so it may vary depending on geographic location. Specific information will be provided upon preliminary screening with our client.
