As an Occupational Therapist / OT at Genesis Rehab Services, you will:
• Use the latest assessment tools, clinical interventions and treatments with outpatient, short-term rehabilitation and long-term inpatient populations
• Help patients with a variety of conditions – low vision, physical disabilities, dementia or other neurological impairments – successfully navigate their living environment
• Design customized accommodations that enhance participation in ADL and leisure activities
• Develop strategies that maintain the ability to perform self-care activities
• Address community reintegration skills for patients transitioning to home
• Use discharge planning skills to promote independence, maximize function and return patients to their homes

As an Occupational Therapist Assistant / OTA at Genesis Rehab Services, you will:
• Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist, including activities of daily living and range of motion exercises
• Evaluate activities of daily living under the direction of the Occupational Therapist
• Organize and facilitate treatment groups in consultation with the Occupational Therapist
• Instruct patients, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the OT program, under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist
• Work with other members of the rehabilitation team to develop activities consistent with each patient’s needs and capabilities
• Represent OT at required meetings on customer care, staffing and other subjects, under the direction of the Occupational Therapist
• Clean and maintain equipment, identifying and reporting any need for repairs
• Put patient service first: Ensure that patients and families enjoy the best possible service, in a caring and compassionate atmosphere where the individual’s needs and rights are recognized and respected

Requirements for Occupational Therapists / OTs:

You must be a graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education. You must be nationally certified or eligible for certification by the National Board for the Certification of Occupational Therapy and hold and/or be eligible for appropriate state licensure, certification or registration.

Requirements for Occupational Therapy Assistant / OTAs:
You must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program certified by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education. You must be eligible to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, according to state guidelines.
