Job Description
Responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering occupational therapy treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. Administers treatments and modalities in an effort to restore function and assist patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The staff therapist coordinates, delegates and supervises responsibilities assigned to support staff including Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA), Rehabilitation Techs, Students and Volunteers. The staff therapist participates in performance improvement initiatives within the department, adheres to departmental budgetary guidelines and ensures that patient charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis. Participates in all departmental equipment training, hospital infection control, organizational and departmental fire and safety education and programs. Performs other duties as delegated by the Director of Rehabilitation Services.

g.) Is an active participant in the performance management process
h.) Complies with all infection control policies
i.) Reports errors in accordance with procedures
j.) Employee demonstrates an understanding of the integrity agreement and the objectives of the ethics and compliance program, as evidenced by participation in annual training and adherence to regulations and policies.
k.) Follows the hospital's Standards of Performance Plan.
