Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Responsibilities:
Under appropriate supervision, performs patient treatment including the use of various modalities like exercises, manual therapy etc. as outlined in plan of care
Will be responsible for following the regulatory guidelines of clinical practice and documentation in the practicing state and department policies and procedures of the facility
Maintain patient's charts as per facility expectations
Maintain privacy and confidentiality of patients and treatments as per facility policies
Assists the therapist in updating treatment programs and helps with the formulation of progress notes and progress letters
Maintain the gym and equipments in a safe manner and to report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor
Assists in the maintenance of clean, well-stocked, orderly department

Requirements for this job:
Graduate from an accredited college offering program in Occupational Therapist Assistant
Currently licensed as COTA within the state of practice
One year of experience preferred
Must possess treatment planning and evaluative skills commensurate with the level of responsibility authorized by regulatory agencies
Must be able to interact and accept supervision from the Occupational Therapist
Must display judgments and decision-making skills
BLS/CPR Certification
