A Senior Health Director:

*Collaborates in the recruiting, interviewing and hiring of clinical staff for the Specialty.
*Develops training programs for field staff to facilitate their understanding of the Specialty. Acts as mentor to the field staff.
*Assists with the preparation of Specialty budget and monitors expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgetary constraints.
*Acts as a central resource for information on the Specialty.

Qualifications
*Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, or the equivalent required.
*A minimum of five years experience in the geriatric specialty area including three years of supervisory experience.
*A Diploma from an accredited Registered Nurse Program and current unrestricted licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state(s) to which assigned required.
*ACLS and ANCC credentialing preferred.

Provides education, training and development of therapy programs and systems across disciplines and within their own clinical specialty. This individual is consistently interfacing with regional and facility personnel including the Executive Directors, Director of Nursing Services, Minimum Data Set Coordinators and Therapy Managers. Works in close partnership with the Utilization Nurse Specialist for assigned facilities. Ongoing facility contact and review is directed to support the facility’s achievement of company and facility policies, objectives and regulatory compliance. This is a work from home position with 50% travel (including some overnight travel). The California territory includes facilities located in Arvin, Bakersfield, Chico, Fullerton, Lakeport, Oroville, Petaluma, Salinas, Tracy and Vallejo. Bachelor Degree Required. Must meet the educational and state requirements for clinical practice in a specific rehab discipline. As an Area Rehabilitation Director, you will:
* Oversee regional specialty and rehabilitation recruiting activities and ensure that plans are in place to recruit specialty staff.
* Participate in/encourage quality assessment and improvement activities. Generate reports for regional, divisional and corporate personnel.
* Maintain ongoing clinical knowledge through internal/external training programs, provide interpretation of knowledge and direction to staff.
* Ensure compliance with standards/company policies/procedures and external regulatory requirements. Ensure that clinical associate documentation meets these requirements. Review and adhere to all Company policies and procedures and the Employee Handbook.
* Perform all duties inherent in a managerial role.

Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or the equivalent
* Plus a minimum of eight years health care experience including three years in a leadership role managing multiple incumbents generally required.
* Knowledge of home health agency regulations/administration generally required.
* Excellent organization, problem solving, decision making, presentation and communication skills also required.
