Job Description

(login to see company) (ECA) is looking for a part-time, bilingual (fluent in English and Spanish), experienced Developmental Early Interventionist/Child Development Clinicians who resides close to the San Fernando Valley and Santa Clarita Valley area and loves to help young children blossom and achieve their developmental milestones and goals in a home setting ! ECA is looking for clinicians that have a minimum of 2 years experience as an "Early Intervention Clinician". Candidates must have prior experience utilizing standardized assessments such as the Bayley and Dayc-2. We are currently only interviewing candidates that live within 5 to 10 miles of Santa Clarita and possess all of the necessary qualifications outlined in detail in this description. This position is for someone who is interested in 10 to 15 visits per week. This position requires a minimum of an 18-month commitment.

What are the job duties?
Child Development Specialists (CDS) at ECA are responsible for:

Providing developmental assessments and treatments in a play-based approach for children ages birth to 3 in their natural environment
Providing parent education and home programs related to treatment goals
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of fellow treating clinicians
Supporting and facilitating each child's progress through quality therapy, increasing opportunities for inclusion and enhancing trusted caregiver-child relationships
Completing biannual progress reports utilizing standardized developmental assessment tools
Other related duties

What are the job qualifications?

Minimum of 2 years' experience as early intervention child development/developmental intervention clinician working with children ages 0 to 3 in the home environment
Prior experience utilizing standardized developmental assessment tools (such as DAYC-2 or PDMS, Bayley etc.)
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Child Development or related field Required
Backgrounds preferred as Child Life Specialist (CLS), Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA), Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), Developmental Interventionist (DI) or similar educational background
Bilingual (Spanish & English) is required
Excellent communication Skills (Written & Verbal)
Must submit prior developmental evaluation samples or developmental progress report samples
Reliable transportation to patient's homes
Must pass background check and drug screening

Required experience:

Developmental Intervention Experience inclusive of utilization of standardized assesment tools: 2 years

Bachelor's

Spanish and English
