Job Description:
(login to see company) is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Early Intervention Child Development Specialist who has a minimum of 2 years of clinical early intervention experience in the home setting and is passionate about their work with children ages 0 to 3 and available to provide services in patient's homes. The Child Development Specialist position at (login to see company) requires someone that is comfortable driving from patient to patient and treating in a home environment. In addition, it requires someone with a strong clinical background and educational background along with a love for working with children ages 0 to 3 who have developmental delays and challenges and need the clinical support to reach their necessary milestones.

We invite candidates to apply with both pediatric experience and background as a Child Life Specialist (CLS), Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA), Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), Developmental Interventionist (DI), Behavioral Interventionist (BI), Child Development Specialist (CDS) or similar background working with children ages 0-3.

Child Development Specialists at (login to see company) are responsible for:
• Providing developmental assessments and treatments in a play-based approach for a caseload of children ages birth to 3 in the home environment
• Providing parent education and home programs related to treatment goals as a result of developmental milestones
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary team inclusive of Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, Service Coordinators, Physicians and family
• Completing biannual progress reports utilizing standardized developmental assessment tools to record delays in the developmental milestones and setting goals to reach milestone outcomes
• Supporting and facilitating each child's progress through developmental milestones, increasing opportunities for inclusion and enhancing trusted caregiver-child relationships
• Utilizing effective and professional communication skills
• Submitting documentation and signatures on a weekly basis
• Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as early intervention child development specialist working with children ages 0 to 3 in the home environment
• Prior experience utilizing standardized developmental assessment tools (such as DAYC-2 or PDMS, Bayley etc.)
• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Child Development or related field
• Backgrounds preferred as Child Life Specialist (CLS), Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA), Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), Developmental Interventionist (DI) or similar educational background
• Bilingual (Spanish & English) is preferred
• Excellent communication Skills (Written & Verbal)
• Must submit prior developmental evaluation samples or developmental progress report samples
• Reliable transportation to patient's homes
• Must pass background check and drug screening
• Minimum requirement of 12-15 treatments per week for part-time employment opportunity and 25-30 treatments for full-time employment opportunity

This position's compensation is determined based on experience and clinical background. Please note that reimbursement for early intervention programs are much less than school opportunities. In addition, the position has access to continuing education inclusive of monthly lectures, mentorship and e-learning online training program related to child development, parent education and much more!
